(MYFOX NATIONAL) – Comedienne Joan Rivers has always had a secret rivalry with Jay Leno, but at the Sundance Film Festival -- to promote her new documentary "A Piece of Work" -- she let her thoughts be known about the late show rift at NBC with Conan O'Brien.
According to the New York Post , the outspoken celeb, who was once the heir-apparent to take over "The Tonight Show," spoke out at a Q&A after her screening.
"We all love to go to sleep to him. He's better than an Ambien ... He's [bleep]ing boring! Who can name one good line in the past 25 years? [Silence] See?" joked Rivers about Leno.
As for O'Brien, she told the SundanceChannel.com : "Now everybody loves him, he's got $40 million, and he's going to get a show on Fox. He's the luckiest white man alive".
Meanwhile the Chicago Tribune reports Rivers isn't the only star who has voiced her opinion.
Former "Friends" star Matthew Perry appeared to be on "Team Conan" when he Tweeted his view as O'Brien's exit was coming near: "I thought the Conan statement was fantastic."
At the TV critics press tour recently, Rosie O'Donnell showed her support for her fellow comic, too.
"I'm a huge fan of Conan O'Brien," said O'Donnell , adding that Leno should "pass the keys to the new guy with red hair, and not try to flatten his tires before he even gets going."
At the same event, according to the WSJ.com blog Speakeasy , fellow funnyman Jerry Seinfeld spoke in favor of his longtime friend Leno: "This ['The Jay Leno Show'] was the right idea at the wrong time ... I don't think anyone's preventing people from watching Conan".
Actor Paul Reiser commented on HuffingtonPost.com : "While all this craziness is going on, Jay just shows up to work every day and does his job. He doesn't complain, he doesn't get upset."
